Supplies
In our flexible learning space this year (2016) it was really important for the kids to be able to use 'grab and go' supplies. These caddies were great for portability and having room for everything the kids would need - meaning less time spent hunting for equipment to get work done! The handles make them easy for kids to carry too. In them we had zoom crayons, thin textas, thick textas, glue sticks, scissors, erasers, sharpeners, a bin (for the sharpenings) highlighters, rulers, grey leads and pens.

This year (2017) I'm going with ONE book for everything. Students call it the 'Everything' book and we paste in all our sheets. We use blank scrap books that are bigger than A4 so all our worksheets can be stuck in without trimming. I also cut up all our dotted thirds books and all our maths books so the kids just grab a sheet of dotted thirds to do all their writing or a sheet of 10mm grid paper to do their maths then stick this into the 'everything' book. I imagine we'll go through quite a few this year but we no longer have students rifling through tubs looking for the right subject book.

Handy resources (and possible gifts) for teachers
I've got 2 more nieces becoming teachers soon so I was thinking about possible gifts to get them. I gave my last graduating-teacher niece a bag full of goodies last year and it seemed to go down quite well, so I thought I might make a gallery of the various knick knacks and tools (some big, some small) that I find handy for classroom use.
